As I get closer and closer to my first day of senior year, my last first day of school that isn’t college, I start to anticipate and even already have some of my last firsts. Tonight was my last open fields with my soccer team and Wednesday marks my last first day of two-a-days which is bittersweet. On one hand YESSSS only one more week of early morning and late night practice where my entire week consists of eat, sleep, and train. On the flip side, this is the last time I’ll practically spend an entire week with my teammates. All of the “last firsts” (and lasts in general) of high school are bitter sweet (some sweeter than others, think midterms, finals, etc) (some more bitter than others, last games, last performances, etc). I’m so excited for my last test to be over but I dread the day I take my final bow on the stage I’ve called home for almost 4 years now. I hate to think of saying goodbye to the cast that has become my family. So don’t waste your firsts, lasts, or your last firsts for that matter. I know everyone tells you high school flies by and you never believe them, BELIEVE THEM. It’s true. I promise. (I know you’re not going to believe me either, but you should). Anyway, do your best to have a grand high school experience that is all that you hoped and more. Sure, complain about the totally unecessary extra assignment that one teacher gave you, but also enjoy playing overtime in that away game that made you exhausted and yet you still managed to get all your homework done. Just buckle up and enjoy the ride, because it’s over before you know it.

Uniquely yours,

Brandi
